A delegation from the Department of Nursing and Midwifery at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, An-Najah National University, led by Dr. Aida Abu Al-Saud Al-Qaisi, Head of the Department, successfully completed an advanced training program in clinical simulation. The training took place in Amman, Jordan, from January 20 to 23, 2025.


The program was organized in collaboration with the Jordan Nursing Council, chaired by Her Royal Highness Princess Muna Al-Hussein, and Acacia Medical, represented by Engineer Ibrahim Theeb. The delegation was warmly received by Prof. Hani Al-Nawafleh, Secretary-General of the Jordan Nursing Council, Prof. Jaafar Shraidah, Engineer Ibrahim Theeb, and course supervisor Ms. Amal Ibrahim.

The training focused on equipping An-Najah’s faculty members with the necessary expertise to integrate clinical simulation training into nursing curricula, enhancing both assessment methodologies and hands-on training. The program featured theoretical lectures, hands-on training, and scenario-based simulations designed to mirror real-life clinical situations that students may encounter. Additionally, it covered the operation and management of high-fidelity simulation mannequins.

As part of the program, the Jordan Nursing Council facilitated a visit to the School of Nursing at the University of Jordan. The delegation was received by Prof. Areej Othman, Dean of the School, and Prof. Latifa Da’ads, Vice Dean for Quality Affairs, along with several faculty members. Discussions centered on fostering academic collaboration in key areas such as international accreditation, scientific research, and faculty and student exchange programs. Both institutions agreed to hold preparatory meetings to strengthen partnerships in research, joint teaching, and student exchange at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The delegation extended its sincere gratitude to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for its warm hospitality and expressed appreciation to Her Royal Highness Princess Muna Al-Hussein for her steadfast support of the nursing profession. Special thanks were also conveyed to Mr. Bilal Najja, Head of Professional Development and Clinical Simulation, Ms. Amal Ibrahim, and the teams at the Jordan Nursing Council and Acacia Medical for their valuable contributions and support.

Additionally, the delegation thanked Prof. Abdel Naser Zaid, President of An-Najah National University, Dr. Abdulsalam Alkaiyat, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Fares Abu Shamma, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, for their continued support in facilitating this opportunity. This initiative marks a significant step toward strengthening collaboration and fostering excellence in nursing education.

This training program serves as a strategic initiative aimed at elevating the quality of nursing and midwifery education. By equipping nursing professionals with cutting-edge practical training methodologies, it is expected to have a lasting impact on the quality of healthcare services while promoting academic cooperation between Palestinian universities and regional institutions in advancing healthcare education.
