An-Najah and Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue Forge New Partnership
An-Najah National University, led by President Prof. Abdel Nasser Zeid, has formalized a strategic cooperation and cultural exchange agreement with the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue. The agreement was signed via Zoom with Prof. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al-Naimi, Chairman of the Doha Center’s Board of Directors and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar, representing the Doha Center.
The signing ceremony was attended by several figures from both institutions. Prof. Jamal Zaid Al-Kelani, Dean of the Faculty of Shari'ah and Head of the An-Najah Center for Religious Studies (ANCERS), along with Prof. Awda Abdullah, Head of the Department of Fundamentals of Religion and Advisory Board Member at ANCERS, were present. Ms. Rana Qadri and Eng. Lubna Kino from ANCERS' Coordination Committee also participated. On behalf of the Doha Center, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Rahim, Director, and Dr. Sekou Toure, Senior Researcher, were in attendance.
This agreement aims to foster a collaborative framework between the two institutions, focusing on the exchange of experiences and expertise. It includes joint meetings, seminars, and research initiatives centered on interfaith dialogue. The partnership is designed to promote religious diversity, pluralism, and societal partnership, leveraging both institutions' intellectual and scientific resources to advance shared goals in scientific research and training.
