Students from An-Najah University's Mechanical Engineering Program have achieved a groundbreaking feat with the development of a smart machine designed to automate the separation of artificial stone from molds and apply insulating material. Led by Ihab Hatem Al-Fay, Tahseen Odeh, and Walid Rashid, under the guidance of Dr. Ahmed Al Ramahi, the project marks a significant milestone in their academic journey.

The innovative machine operates through four automated stages: firstly, feeding the mold with raw materials; followed by a shaking stage that uses vibration for efficient stone separation; then, retrieving the separated stone; and finally, spraying the mold with insulating material before storage to ensure quality and sustainability.

This project directly addresses the rising market demand for artificial stone and was developed in collaboration with Al-Talawi Artificial Stone Company. It represents a leap forward in the artificial stone industry, enhancing efficiency and reducing reliance on manual labor. This breakthrough opens new avenues for improving productivity and product quality.

An-Najah University's Mechanical Engineering Program, accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), equips students with skills to analyze complex systems, innovate through research and design, and manage production lines effectively.
