An-Najah National University Engages in the First International Conference on Bio-Nano Materials: Medical and Industrial Applications

An-Najah National University participated in the inaugural International Conference on Bio-Nano Materials Science and Applications in Medicine and Industry, held in Fez, Morocco, from May 29 to 31, 2024.
Prof. Shehdeh Jodeh, from the Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science, represented An-Najah National University as an invited speaker at the conference. His participation was at the official invitation of the conference's administrative committee, held at the Conference Center of Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah University in Fez, Morocco.
The conference brought together over 100 international experts from academic, industrial, and governmental sectors, engaging in discussions on cutting-edge scientific advancements in environmental and renewable energy fields. Key topics included scientific research, industrial applications, sustainable development, saline agriculture, water treatment, and recycling.
Prof. Shehdeh Jodeh delivered a lecture titled "Synthesis of Novel Nano-hydroxyapatite Doped with Silver as Super Catalysts for Carbon Monoxide Oxidation," which received widespread acclaim for its unique research contribution.
Throughout the conference, Prof. Jodeh met with the President of Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah University and several international researchers. At the conclusion of the conference, it was decided to hold this event biennially, with the next conference scheduled for Jordan in 2026, followed by Palestine thereafter.
It is worth mentioning that Prof. Jodeh is a member of the scientific committee of the conference and will be publishing the abstracts in the "Scopus" journal. He extends his gratitude to the university administration and the dean of research for facilitating their participation in this conference.
