A remarkable milestone was achieved by a dedicated team of dentists from the Department of Dentistry and Dental Surgery at An-Najah National University. Dr. Khalil Shalalin and Dr. Qais Abu Zahra, under the expert guidance of Dr. Nabil Massad, Director of the Department, successfully conducted a re-implantation operation on a 16-year-old boy, whose teeth were completely dislodged in an unfortunate accident.

The swift and efficient response of the dental team ensured the cessation of severe bleeding before initiating the re-implantation procedure. The dislodged tooth was carefully repositioned and reattached to the adjacent teeth. Through weekly follow-up assessments, the team observed the success of the re-implantation process starting from the second week. The body's positive response to the restored teeth was evident, leading to the gradual healing of the affected bone area. The stability of the re-implanted teeth reached an excellent level, accompanied by the disappearance of pain and swelling.

In a rare occurrence, positive indicators of nerve restoration were observed, highlighting the team's exceptional skill in achieving a successful nerve healing process. The timing of the reimplantation, within an hour of the injury, played a crucial role in this remarkable nerve restoration.

The dental team is preparing to publish this groundbreaking case as a global scientific study after a comprehensive follow-up period of no less than three months. This study aims to contribute valuable insights to the field of dentistry, showcasing the successful outcomes of timely re-implantation and the positive impact on nerve healing.
