An-Najah Participates in UNIMED General Assembly 2022
An-Najah National University represented by Prof. Abdel Nasser Zeid, President of the University and Dr. Kherieh Rassas, An-Najah's Vice President for International and External Relations and Member of UNIMED’s Board of Directors, participated in the UNIMED General Assembly 2022 under the theme: “Shaping the Mediterranean from Cooperation to Integration”, which was hosted by the University of Jordan in Amman on June 22nd and 23rd, 2022.
This year’s event was held in person in the Jordanian capital for two days, after two years of online and distant events due to the repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Assembly aimed at gathering the rectors, the delegates and the international relation officers of the UNIMED member universities to exchange views and determine policy for UNIMED, setting the stage for a full and rich year of initiatives activities and conferences that shape the academic calendar around the Mediterranean.
The event included sessions dedicated to UNIMED activities and future initiatives and offered several interesting opportunities of networking with other members and international actors.
It addressed several topics, notably the role of university cooperation in times of crisis. Other topics included Euro-Mediterranean academic cooperation, open and online education in the Mediterranean region, employment and entrepreneurship, cultural dialogue, and student organizations.
