An-Najah organizes Workshop on MoreThanAJob Project's Objectives and Programs
MoreThanAJob project's partners in Palestine: The International Grants and Projects Center at An-Najah National University and the Nablus Chamber of Commerce & Industry, organized an informative workshop about MoreThanAJob project's objectives and programs for the “social organization” course’s students from the social work program at An-Najah National University on Monday April 4, 2022.
The event started with an introduction about the project which aims to enforce social inclusion of vulnerable, and unemployed populations by applying best practices for more effective collaboration of the SSE actors with the public administration.
The students were introduced to the projects's basic concepts such as the SSE as the project seeks to deliver and demonstrate a framework of best practices for inclusion of the unemployed (including refugees & uneducated) in the work & education system. The framework is based on the collaboration of SSE actors and public authorities for delivering more effectively their services.
The event included presentations about the project’s sub-grants which were awarded to the SSE institutions and entities to support cooperation between Social and Solidarity Economy actors and public administrations with the aim of improving welfare and social services for vulnerable groups in order to increase their opportunities for social and labour inclusion.
At the end of the workshop, students engaged in a question and answer session with the workshop's speakers and participants.
