An-Najah Participates in the Third International Environmental Chemistry Congress (EnviroChem)
An-Najah National University, represented by Dr. Murad Abualhasan and Dr. Mohammed Hawash from the Department of Pharmacy at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, participated in the 3rd International Environmental Chemistry Congress (EnviroChem) organized by the Turkish Chemist Society. The congress was held in Antalya, Turkey, from 01-04 November, 2021.
The primary goal of this congress was to bring together researchers, students, scientists, and experts from universities, institutions, industries, and societies to provide them a unique platform for sharing worldwide knowledge related to environmental concerns.
It included special sessions, oral presentations, poster sessions, and workshops on emerging technologies and advanced research in the environmental chemistry.
Dr. Abualhasan presented a research paper titled" Evaluation of heavy metal and microbial contamination of green tea and herbal tea used for weight loss in the Palestinian market". For Dr. Hawash, he presented a research paper titled" The impact of filtered water-pipe smoke on healthy versus cancer cells and their neurodegenerative role on AMPA receptor". These twos research papers were published in prestigious international Chemistry journals.
