A Delegation from Secours Islamique France(SIF) Visits An-Najah to Discuss Future Means of Mutual Cooperation
On Thursday, September 24, 2020, Prof. Maher Natsheh, An-Najah National University President received a delegation from Secours Islamique France(SIF) to discuss future means of mutual cooperation. The delegation included Mr. Xavier Nicolas, Head of Mission, and Mrs. Simran Sachdev, Program Manager at SIF.
The visit aimed to discuss possible areas of future joint cooperation between SIF and An-Najah National University in terms of conducting joint development projects between the two parties in the field of safe farming.
Prof. Natsheh welcomed the delegation and talked about An-Najah’s programs, academic achievements and international agreements. He then referred to the political and economic challenges that the Palestinian universities face, especially during the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.
Prof. Natsheh also thanked the guests for their continuous support and cooperation, expressing his confidence that this visit will enhance joint cooperation between the two parties in many ways.
Mr. Nicolas in turn expressed his delight for being at An-Najah and stressed the importance of the cooperation between both parties. He also wished that the visit would result in further cooperation in different areas of mutual interest.
During the visit, the delegation was given a tour of the New Campus, including the University's Scientific Centers to learn more about its facilitates, services and infrastructure.

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Abdel Fattah Almallah, Assistant Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Director of the Institute of Water and Environmental Studies at An-Najah University, Dr. Tawfiq Qubbaj, Assistant Professor at the University's Department of Plant Production and Protection and Director of An-Najah Center for Agricultural Training and Research, and Mr. Khaled Al-Husseini, Director of the Public Relations Department at the University.
