An-Najah Launches New Teaching Method Programmes
During the academic year 2017/2018, An-Najah National University launched a number of new teaching method minor programmes for BA students that offers the alumni better job opportunities. The programmes are: English language major-teaching methods minor, Arabic language and literature major-teaching methods minor, history major-teaching methods minor, mathematics major-teaching methods minor, chemistry major-teaching methods minor and physics major-teaching methods minor.
The programmes will be part of the original science or humanities faculties provided that the course plan for each contains 27 hours of teaching method course taught by qualified staff members from the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Teacher Training.
The programmes will offer the pure sciences graduates an opportunity to teach at schools.
The programmes' graduates will be able to teach both elementary and secondary students while education graduates can teach only elementary students. The programmes will also allow the graduates to work in their major fields as well.
It is worth mentioning that An-Najah is the only university in Palestine that offers such programmes. The university sat the course plans according to the standards and requirements of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
