The conference covered a number of international, Arab and Palestinian topics most important of which were climate change and its impacts, effects of wars on environment in the Middle East as well as water resources, poverty and the apartheid wall in Palestine.

The topics were discussed through research papers presented by participating professors.

Dr. Ghadieh who was a preparatory committee member and Head of the Scientific Committee of the Palestinian Geographical Society presented a research paper on the impact of the Israeli colonies on village gatherings in Tubas province.

It is worth mentioning that the First International Palestinian Geographical Conference was held at An-Najah National University.
