A delegation from An-Najah National University participated in the OpenMED project prime workshop on developing the open learning programme in the South Mediterranean area.


The workshop was over five days (January 12-16, 2016) and took place in Rome, Italy.

The workshop included a review of commitments and progress made in the project and the delegates from the different participating universities discussed the project’s phases and procedures.

During the workshop, An-Najah delegation presented on e-learning at An-Najah and the Discover Palestine MOOC* as a recommended international practice. The delegation also talked about the university’s plan to develop an open e-learning innovation unit.

Notes:

  • The Erasmus+ OpenMED project aims at developing open learning resources in 4 Arab countries; namely, Palestine, Jordan, Morocco and Egypt.
  • The delegation included Dr. Saida Affouneh, Director of the E-Learning Centre; Dr. Ayham Jaaron, Director of the Institutional Research Unit and Dr. Mohammad Najjar, Director of the Projects Unit at An-Najah.
  • An-Najah is one of 13 other participating universities in the project.
  • *MOOC means: Massive Open Online Course
