Dialogue Facilitation Training (August - September 2024)
An Najah National University's Academic and Professional Development Center is excited to announce the upcoming Introduction to Online Dialogue Facilitation training organized through the CliVEx climate justice project. This course is designed for those new to dialogue facilitation and aims to equip participants with foundational skills for effective online and in-person dialogue facilitation (active listening, follow-up questions, etc.).
Training Highlights:
- Foundational Skills: Learn the essential functions of dialogue and facilitation, including active listening, observation, and asking critical thinking questions.
- Online Engagement: Explore principles of effective online engagement and facilitation.
- Self-Awareness: Receive individualized feedback to build awareness of your own facilitation profile.
- Confidence Building: Gain confidence in applying foundational facilitation techniques.
Professional and Personal Benefits:
- Upon successful completion of this training, participants will be eligible to advance to the Advanced Facilitation Training and become UN-certified dialogue facilitators.
- This training experience is valuable regardless of your field of study or profession, supporting teamwork, communication skills, and leadership across different working, academic, and personal diverse circumstances and contexts.
Training Dates: August 12 to September 15, 2024
Eligibility: Participants must be 18-30 years old and from Palestine.
Commitment Expectations:
- The overall time commitment for the course is 12-15 hours, approximately 2-3 hours per week over five weeks, and is fully asynchronous so you can review the materials at your own pace with no required times to attend any live sessions.
