Statement on the Meeting of An-Najah University's Crisis and Disaster Management Committee Regarding the Outbreak of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)
The health, safety and wellbeing of the University's staff, students and the wider community is An-Najah's highest priority. Thus, An-Najah University's Crisis and Disaster Management Committee hold regular meetings to lead the University’s efforts in dealing with the impact of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on the campus. The committee is charged with monitoring issues and creating and executing plans with regard to all aspects of COVID-19 as it relates to the continuity of campus operations.
Based on the last meeting held by the University's Crisis and Disaster Management Committee regarding the outbreak of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the Committee has decided the following preventive measures:
- Providing the University's competent authorities with the names of the employees, students, and non-Palestinian/international visitors of the University, or who are expected to visit the University soon.
- Suspending all the University's events and gatherings, including seminars, and conferences until further notice
- Avoiding travelling abroad unless there is an urgent need for that. Students and staff arriving from the following countries: Spain, Germany, Italy, Thailand, Singapore, Switzerland, China, France, South Korea, Macau, Austria, Hong Kong, and Japan, must inform the University, and must self-isolate and undergo a period of 14 days quarantine upon arrival in the country.
- Following policies, guidance and planning protocols issued by the Crisis and Disaster Managing Committee on the University's social media platforms.
