According to the institutional ranking covering all research fields, the University placed first nationally based on both Lifetime performance and Prior Five Years performance. Globally, An-Najah ranked around 2051 in the Lifetime evaluation and advanced to approximately 1006 worldwide in the Prior Five Years assessment, reflecting a significant increase in recent research output and impact.

The University also achieved strong visibility across multiple specialties, appearing in 15 specialized research areas based on Lifetime performance and 20 specialized areas based on the Prior Five Years evaluation, highlighting the breadth and diversity of its research excellence.

A major highlight of the 2025 results was the outstanding global ranking of Prof. Tamer Khatib from the Faculty of Engineering, who ranked 4th worldwide in Photovoltaic Systems, 39th in Photovoltaics, and achieved an advanced global position in Energy, reinforcing An-Najah’s leading role in renewable energy research.
