In a remarkable feat, An-Najah National University has secured the first position in Palestine and an impressive 109th place in the Middle East in The SCImago Institutional Rankings (SIR), underscoring its unwavering commitment to academic excellence and research prowess.
An-Najah University's consistent success in cementing its standing as a distinguished educational institution has reached new heights with its latest accomplishment in the renowned Spanish SIR rankings. Out of 302 Arab universities evaluated, An-Najah University claimed the top spot among Palestinians and an impressive 54th place in the Arab world. Furthermore, the university achieved a commendable 109th position out of 531 universities from the Middle East that participated in the prestigious ranking.
The SIR, a globally recognized classification for academic and research institutions, adjudged An-Najah National University in the highest category, Q1, among the Arab universities considered. This classification is based on three pivotal indicators: outstanding research performance (50%), innovations (30%), and social impact (20%), derived from 17 sub-indicators. An-Najah University exhibited exceptional performance, ranking 38th among Arab universities in the Research Excellence Index and 50th in social impact.
Distinguishing itself in various academic disciplines, An-Najah National University achieved notable rankings in specific fields. The university secured the 3rd position in the Arab world for arts and humanities, 37th in medicine, 44th in management and accounting, 57th in social sciences, and 66th in pharmaceutical sciences.
