An-Najah has achieved a new academic milestone, leading Palestinian universities by ranking first among 9 Palestinian universities and securing 29th place across the Arab world in the third edition of the 2025 Arab Ranking for Universities, issued by the Association of Arab Universities.

This ranking is considered one of the most prominent academic classifications in the Arab world and is overseen by the Arab University Rankings Council, which was established in cooperation with the Association of Arab Universities, Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils (FASRC), and the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO). The ranking aims to enhance the quality of higher education and elevate the performance of Arab universities based on objective and transparent criteria.

The 2025 edition witnessed a significant increase in the number of participating universities and countries, with the ranking encompassing 236 universities from 20 Arab countries. It is based on a comprehensive methodology built around four main pillars: teaching and learning, scientific research, creativity, entrepreneurship and innovation, and local and international cooperation and community service.

Prof. Abdel Naser Zaid, An-Najah President expressed his satisfaction with this achievement, noting that it reflects An-Najah’s continuous efforts to develop its academic programs, strengthen scientific research, support innovation, and expand engagement with both the local and international communities. These efforts, he emphasized, contribute to improving the University’s position in Arab and international rankings.

In turn, Prof. Waleed Sweileh, Dean of Scientific Research, stated that this achievement confirms that the University is moving steadily toward achieving its strategic objectives, particularly in the areas of research, innovation, and community service.
