An-Najah National University has achieved a significant national milestone, becoming the first and only Palestinian university to be included in the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2025. The university has been ranked in five academic disciplines: Clinical and Health, Education, Engineering, Physical Sciences, and Social Sciences. This achievement reflects An-Najah’s continuous progress in higher education and research, further establishing its position among globally recognized universities.

These include research citations, institutional research influence, academic reputation, research income, and teaching environment, along with survey insights from Thomson Reuters, which gathers evaluations from 20,000 scholars and experts worldwide to assess academic and research standing.
The ranking also considers doctoral degrees awarded, faculty size, subject diversity, faculty-to-student ratios, and the proportion of postgraduate students to undergraduates. These criteria collectively highlight An-Najah’s strong research output, diverse academic programs, and institutional sustainability.
