An-Najah Named Finalist in Five Categories at the Times Higher Education Arab World Awards 2025
In a remarkable achievement that further strengthens its position as a regional academic leader, An-Najah National University has been shortlisted in five major categories at the Times Higher Education (THE) Arab World Awards 2025, one of the most prestigious academic awards in the region. The university advanced to the finals with five standout projects across highly competitive categories:
- Leadership and Management Team of the Year – RISE Team
- Outstanding Contribution to Environmental Leadership – PALGAP Project
- Outstanding Support for Students – TESI Initiative
- Outstanding Contribution to Regional Development – JUST PAL Project
- Technological or Digital Innovation of the Year – Najah2Twin Project
These projects were selected from among hundreds of submissions from leading Arab universities, following a rigorous review by an expert panel of international judges. This milestone highlights An-Najah’s continued leadership in higher education at both the Arab and international levels. It follows the university’s recent entry into the Top 100 universities worldwide in the THE Impact Rankings 2025, which assess institutions' contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—a first-of-its-kind achievement in Palestine and the region.
Notably, An-Najah National University was also the recipient of the International Strategy of the Year Award in 2024 and ranked first in Palestine and 23rd in the Arab region in last year’s Times Arab University Rankings, announced at the THE summit in Dubai. The winners of the 2025 awards will be announced at the official ceremony to be held in Amman, Jordan, in November 2025, with the participation of high-level leaders in Arab higher education.
