Employees' Union
The Employees’ Union is the representative body of An-Najah National University’s employees and the voice of staff across all faculties and departments. Its administrative board is made up of University employees who are democratically elected by secret ballot in annual elections, ensuring that its leadership reflects the wider staff community.
The Union is committed to defending the legal rights and interests of all employees. This includes advocating for fair labour practices and upholding every employee’s freedom of association and right to collective bargaining. The University fully recognises and supports these rights, and all employees, including women and international staff, have equal access to union representation.
The Union works to improve the economic, social and cultural wellbeing of University employees by:
-
Defending employees’ rights and interests, promoting equality and protecting their collective and shared interests.
-
Following up on employees’ complaints related to their rights, legal matters and pay, ensuring that grievances are addressed promptly and fairly.
-
Providing affordable housing for employees through the Union’s housing association committees. The Al-Amiriya Housing and Al-Ma’ajin Housing projects, affiliated with the University, provide homes for around 500 employees and their families at affordable cost.
-
Supporting employees’ financial and social security by working to expand housing opportunities, establish a consumer association and develop other projects that benefit employees and their families.
-
Supporting professional development, enhancing employees’ academic and professional skills and encouraging them to publish research and studies.

Supporting the University and its institutions across different fields, fostering a collaborative working environment.
