An-Najah Takes Its 100% Renewable Energy Message to Local Schools
14 May 2025
An-Najah National University implemented a school outreach initiative introducing pupils and teachers to renewable energy and encouraging wider support for a transition toward 100% renewable energy.
University representatives delivered interactive sessions explaining how sunlight can generate electricity and provide hot water. Demonstrations helped pupils connect classroom learning with practical energy applications in homes, schools and community facilities.
The sessions also explored the environmental consequences of fossil-fuel dependence and the contribution renewable energy can make to a more resilient future. Pupils discussed everyday energy-saving practices and developed messages encouraging their families to learn about clean-energy options.
As part of the outreach, school communities were invited to support an age-appropriate renewable-energy statement and communicate its message through school displays and family engagement activities.
The initiative linked scientific education with public advocacy. By involving teachers and pupils as community messengers, An-Najah extended the reach of its renewable-energy pledge and encouraged early participation in sustainability discussions.
