An-Najah Community Open Day Connects Clean-Energy Demonstrations with Public Pledge Support

An-Najah National University hosted a clean-energy open day for school groups, families and community organizations, combining practical demonstrations with public discussion of its pledge toward 100% renewable energy.

Visitors explored examples of solar electricity and solar water heating, while university specialists explained the principles behind their operation. Discussions addressed the contribution of renewable energy to reducing emissions, improving energy security and supporting sustainable development.

An information area introduced the University’s public pledge and invited visitors to express support for the wider renewable-energy transition. Participants could ask questions about household applications, building suitability and the steps involved in seeking professional technical advice.

The event also encouraged visitors to identify actions they could take within their own organizations and communities, from improving energy awareness to exploring suitable renewable-energy projects.

By opening a space for demonstrations, questions and public endorsement, An-Najah translated its institutional commitment into an accessible community engagement activity.
