An-Najah and Community Organizations Discuss a Roadmap Toward 100% Renewable Energy
20 August 2025
An-Najah National University organized a public round table with civil society and community representatives to discuss how collective action could support a transition toward 100% renewable energy.
The discussion examined barriers affecting renewable-energy adoption, including investment costs, access to technical information and the need for coordination among institutions. Participants also considered how community organizations could make energy discussions more accessible to households and underserved groups.
University representatives presented the public renewable-energy pledge and invited participants to discuss its relevance to their organizations. The meeting explored opportunities for shared awareness campaigns, community information sessions and the promotion of renewable-energy assessments for suitable facilities.
Participants emphasized the value of pairing public advocacy with practical guidance, particularly on solar-system suitability, safe installation and long-term maintenance.
The round table strengthened dialogue between the University and community organizations, positioning the renewable-energy transition as a shared public objective and encouraging continued engagement beyond the campus.
