On Tuesday, August 25^th, 2015 An-Najah University in cooperation with the EU Projects’ Office, held the first “National Conference for Student Services in Palestinian Universities”. The MEDAWEL-TEMPUS funded conference was held at the Korean IT Institute in the New Campus.

The Conference aimed at exploring methods to improve services offered to students in Palestinian universities to match the international standards.

The conference included three sessions that tackled the issues of developing and supporting services offered to students in Palestinian universities through several seminars and discussions of 23 research papers.

Dr. Mohammad El-Amleh, Vice President for Academic Affairs welcomed the attendees and stressed the importance of reinforcing cooperation between An-Najah and the local community.

Dr. Emad Braik, EU Projects Coordinator at An-Najah talked about the Student Services Unit which was recently established at An-Najah through the MEDAWEL-TMPUS project.

-         The conference was also attended by Dr. Adnan Melhem, Vice President for Social Affairs and Mr. Mousa Abu Deyea, Dean of Student Affairs at An-Najah.

-         MEDAWEL’s objective is to provide Higher Education Institutions in the Southern Neighboring Area with a holistic approach for observing and improving student services through targeted planning and development action on institutional, national and regional levels.
