An-Najah University Hosts a Training workshop for Women with Disabilities to Improve their Skills to Start up their Own Business
A group of women with disabilities from throughout Palestine were selected to take part in a training workshop over a period of six months whereby all the women are brought together in An-Najah National University to improve their skills to start up their own business and to share their experiences. In addition, participants were assisted in establishing their own self-designed small projects, which they will run in the future, allowing them to practice the leadership skills they have acquired.
The workshop was inaugurated by Mr. Samer Aqrouq, Director of Students with Disabilities Care Office at An-Najah University. Mr. Aqrouq welcomed the participants on behalf of the University's president. He noted that An-Najah University is committed to contributing to all the efforts being undertaken to assist the vulnerable groups especially women with disabilities to link up them with the local organizations operating in different sectors and including the employment opportunities for them.
