Dr. Muath Asmar, from the Finance Department at An-Najah participated in the 13th Annual International Conference on Finance organized by the Accounting & Finance Research Unit Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER) in Greece.

The conference aimed at bringing together scholars and students of all areas of finance and other related disciplines and shed light upon the financial and accounting issues from around the world as well as the Greek debt crisis and its effects.

Dr. Asmar discussed a research paper entitled as "Returns of Contrarian and Momentum Investment Strategies in Exchange Traded Funds" which tackled the issue of the global economic indicators and the returns of investment strategies in financial papers related to it.

Notes:

-          The conference was over three days from May 26-28, 2015 and was attended by researchers and academics from all the over the world.

-          The Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER) was established in 1995 as an independent world association of Academics and Researchers. Its mission is to act as a forum where Academics and Researchers from all over the world can meet in Athens, in order to exchange ideas on their research, and to discuss future developments in their disciplines.
