On Monday 24 November, An-Najah National University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ChutoLink Company, Tokyo, Japan.

ChutoLink is a Japanese company that is active in the field of translation and language services and has the ability to promote the ANNP at An-Najah as the place of choice for Japanese students wishing to learn Arabic in An-Najah.

This cooperation aims at increasing the number of Japanese students studying Arabic at An-Najah National University’s Arabic for Non-Native Speakers (ANNP) Programme.

Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah National University, welcomed the guests and expressed his content in establishing this cooperation as it will promote the ANNP internationally and attract interested Japanese professionals to enrol in it.

Mr Omar Yamane, the company president, expressed his pleasure in signing this MoU with An-Najah. He went on saying that through this cooperation, ChutoLink will support the efforts of Japanese students, university/ college graduates, company employees and other individuals and groups seeking to study Arabic language and culture in Palestine. In addition to building bridges of mutual understanding and partnerships with An-Najah.

-       The meeting was also attended by Mrs Asuka Ono, Manager at the ChutoLinks International Relations Division, Mr Nabil Ghanayem, ChutoLinks’ delegate in Palestine, Dr Raed Abdulraheem, Coordinator of Arabic for Non-Natives Programme and the Office of International Development and External Affairs.
