On Tuesday, April 15^th the American Olympic gold medalist Jackie Joyner-Kersee visited An Najah National University’s Physical Education Department with the U.S. Consulate in Jerusalem.  Accompanying Jackie was the Cultural Attaché of the U.S. Consulate's Cultural Attache Ms. Rachel Leslie and other Consulate representatives.  Jackie conducted an athletic clinic with the students that involved many different exercises and routines to help with running training. 

Following the exercise workshop, students got the chance to play basketball with Jackie’s colleague Mike as well as take pictures and get autographs signed with Jackie. 

The Dean of the Department of Physical Education, Dr. Waleed Knafar, along with other physical education faculty, gave Ms. Jackie Joyner-Kersee and the U.S. Consulate guests a tour of the faculty.

 Afterwards, Ms. Jackie and Ms. Rachel went to the American Corner Nablus to meet the AC Volunteers and receive an introduction to the AC and the activities and events it runs throughout the year.
