On Tuesday, June 29, 2015 the Community and Rural Development Institution, (Juhoud) held a workshop at An-Najah's Alumni Unit on the Euro-Mediterranean electronic gate for career and employment consultancy (DAEDALUS) to facilitate youth mobility.

Mr. Rafi Daraghmeh, Director of the Alumni Unit met with Mr. William Abduh, Project Director and Ms. Valentina Verze, Project Coordinator in the Mediterranean area where he welcomed them and commended their contribution in the project.

Both sides discussed the execution and pilot phase for DEADALUS which aims at technically developing the employment gate.

DAEDALUS is a technologically enhanced tool conceived for meeting the needs of young residents seeking employment in the labor markets of the Mediterranean area by enhancing their career and business opportunities and matching their qualifications and skills with existing needs in neighboring countries.

Notes:

-      More than 50 graduates attended the workshop which was held over three seminars.

-      Founded in 2003, Juhoud for Community and Rural Development is committed to the welfare of rural, low-income, and impoverished communities with a specific focus on youth and women. “Juhoud” meaning “efforts” in Arabic; it was chosen to reflect the organization’s mission of making every effort to change the Palestinian reality of poverty. Juhoud has three main program areas: 1) Economic and business Development, 2) community Development, 3) Adult Education.

-      The representatives answered the students' inquiries on registration difficulties.
