The university's relentless pursuit of globalization in education and innovation has resulted in a notable collection of international projects secured during the year.

The pinnacle of these accomplishments shines through in the University's collaboration with four significant international projects under the Erasmus+ program, facilitated by the European Union. These initiatives are intricately designed to fortify educational capabilities while facilitating the exchange of knowledge across digital platforms. The projects encompass a diverse array of subjects, from bolstering the formulation and governance of doctoral programs in Palestinian academic institutions, to the advancement of agricultural programs, and even a pioneering venture focused on virtual education exchange. The fourth project entails the documentation of Ottoman history within the region, bolstered by funding from the Erasmus programs. In total, these projects have been endowed with a substantial budget totaling 289,000 euros.

Professor Abdel Nasser Zaid, President of the University, lauded the collective endeavors of the academic and administrative personnel. He hailed their unwavering dedication to interdisciplinary initiatives that have seamlessly melded research and education, propelling the University to this unprecedented global zenith.

Dr. Kherieh Rassas, Vice President for International and External Affairs, effused with pride at this remarkable achievement, stating that it stands as a shining addition to the University's illustrious track record of success. Dr. Rassas emphasized the University's dedicated efforts in expanding its collaborative network to encompass a myriad of academic and research institutions.

She highlighted the University's comprehensive approach that encompassed joint project propositions, the development of international academic programs, the formalization of academic agreements, and the orchestration of enriching summer courses. Dr. Rassas underscored the invaluable contribution of these partnerships in invigorating the local economy through the exchange of knowledge and technology, thus ensuring students remain abreast of global advancements.

Prof. Saed Al-Khayyat, Director of Scientific Centers at the University, extended his gratitude to the University’s faculties, scientific centers, and participants who ardently contributed to the triumphant outcome of 54 projects across various Erasmus programs.

He stressed the collaborative spirit driving these achievements, supported by unfaltering administrative backing. Despite fierce competition, the University's projects emerged victorious due to the dedication of its researchers and faculty members. Prof. Al-Khayyat optimistically noted that certain projects, previously hindered by budget constraints, will be revised and resubmitted in forthcoming sessions.

Noteworthy amongst the victories is the PhDGov project, a pioneering endeavor led by Prof. Saed Al-Khayyat, which is revolutionizing the governance of doctoral programs in Palestinian higher education institutions. Another standout is the BREEDTECH project, helmed by Dr. Munqith Shtayyeh, focused on advancing plant hybridization techniques and plant biotechnologies. Furthermore, Dr. Imad Brik has undertaken the leadership of the virtual exchange project aimed at instilling climate change concepts across Europe and Mediterranean nations. Lastly, the Memory of History project, backed by Turkish Erasmus, is directed by Dr. Mahmoud Matar and Dr. Loay Abu Alsaud, envisioning the comprehensive documentation of historical Ottoman legacy.
