An-Najah University Participates in a Workshop on Strengthening the Scientific Research System and its Outputs in Palestine
At the invitation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Imad Breik, Director of the International Grants and Projects Center at An-Najah National University, participated as a key speaker in a workshop about strengthening the scientific research system and its outputs in Palestine that was held on September 11, 2022.
The workshop aimed at discussing the scientific research system development program in Palestine. The event included the participation of representatives of higher education institutions, scientific research institutions, and Arab and international research networks.
Dr. Breik shared with the attendees An-Najah University’s experience in promoting scientific research at the University through a variety of international cooperation projects such as Horizon, FP7, E+, PRIMA, and ENI CBC-MED. He added that such international projects contribute to enhancing the level of competences, skills and employability potential of the University staff.
Furthermore, Dr. Breik discussed with the participants how to promote Palestine's participation and engagement in such international programs and projects. He emphasized on the importance of raising awareness about the European Union’s programs for research and innovation in Palestine. Additionally, he referred to the importance of supporting and developing capacity development programs in Palestine for researchers.
