On Wednesday 19 March, and in relation to Palestinian Mother’s Day and International Women’s Day, the Employees Union at An-Najah held a celebration to honour women working at the university.

The event included lunch, gifts and music performed by the Deanship of Student Affairs choir dedicated to women and mothers everywhere.

Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah, greeted the female staff and the Palestinian women who set examples of courageous and patient women, and thanked the union for organising the event.

Dr. Basel Mansour, Head of the Employees Union, also greeted the women of Palestine in general and the women working in the university on this special occasion. He wished them, and all women of the world, wellbeing at all times.

He also saluted the Palestinian women who like the Palestinian men, have sacrificed a lot for the cause. He went on to thank Professor Natsheh for supporting the Union’s activities and Jawwal Telecom for sponsoring the event, and gave a brief overview on the Union’s role in serving employees.

Note: the event was also attended by Dr. Jaber Academic VP, Dr.Maher Abu Zant, Administrative VP, Mr. Mousa Abu-Daye, Dean of Student affairs, Mr. Sabih Touqan Head of the Services Department, Employees Union members and Representatives from Jawwal Telecom.
