The Construction and Transportation Research Unit of An-Najah National University was established in year 2000.

The general objective of establishing the unit was to utilise the available resources at the Department of Civil Engineering at the University to support projects and research studies in the area of construction and transportation engineering. Furthermore the unit focuses on serving the Palestinian society in conducting laboratory testing and technical studies in the fields of interest.
