This Unit is administrated by a council. The council personnel have the authority to approve plans, financial issues, management and research schedules, as well as projects and grant proposals.

The Unit’s staff consists of a manager, co-ordinator and secretary. The main task of the manager is to make temporary working contracts with specialists in order to satisfy the local community’s needs.
