The primary mission of the library is to support our clients (the staff, students, researchers) by providing collections, information resources, services and environments that lead to creativity. This in turn supports the instructional programs and educational goals of the University.
An-Najah National University Libraries are an extension of An-Najah School and An-Najah Community College library. In 1998 the Diana Tamari Sabbagh Main Library was built in the center of the Old Campus, followed by the New Campus library building. The An-Najah Libraries hold approximately 350,000 volumes in Arabic, English and other languages. The Libraries also subscribe to 28,000 electronic and in-print periodicals and peer-reviewed journals.
The Libraries have evolved to meet the changing needs of students in the information sciences and provides electronic services and free internet access to users. An-Najah National University Libraries employ an open shelves policy and technological services that meet the international standards of the DDC and MARC21.
