Despite the ongoing challenges faced by the Palestinian people, An-Najah National University has achieved a remarkable victory in the ninth Arab moot court competition. The Faculty of Law at the University has won first place for the best-written memorandum award for the plaintiff, surpassing more than 25 universities from 14 Arab countries. The competition was held in the State of Kuwait from March 5-7, 2023.

The University was represented in this competition by a team of four students from the Faculty of Law, including Roua Jaradat, Marah Hamdallah, Sarah Omar, and Farah Atatari, under the guidance of Mr. Jawad Salman, Coordinator of the Moot Courts Unit at the University's Faculty of Law.

The team underwent seven months of intensive training in drafting written notes and oral pleadings, which prepared them to perform outstandingly in the competition. Despite the difficult circumstances faced by the students, including the occupation, which made it difficult to travel and participate in person, the team participated remotely in the competition. This allowed them to showcase their skills and achieve a remarkable victory, underscoring the importance of perseverance and determination in the face of adversity.

Mr. Salman expressed his gratitude for the continuous support provided by the University to the students, encouraging them to participate in various local and international events. He further added that the award-winning team is part of the moot court team at the University's Faculty of Law, which is renewed annually and trained to participate in any international competition.

In recognition of the winning team's remarkable efforts, the University will arrange an honoring ceremony on March 16, 2023. The ceremony will celebrate the team's outstanding performance and will be a testament to the University's commitment to excellence in education. The ceremony is expected to be a momentous occasion, and the University looks forward to congratulating the team on their impressive achievement.
