An-Najah Radio
Station started its transmissions on the 1st of
July, 2003, with the goals of training university students
of the Department of Journalism and providing the
Palestinian community with live news. It also has a small
production unit to produce films.
It is fully
operated by a professional team , and it is managed
and funded by the University itself.
The Station does
its best to satisfy the local community with objective news,
analyses and interviews, as well as educational programs. It
is distinguished in having the latest equipment and an
advanced technological capacity in the field of
transmission.
The involvement of
many of the university instructors, teachers and professors
is one of the main elements of the success of the Station.
Besides transmitting new programs in English and French, its
output can be listened to anywhere in the world through its
website.
The Station
transmits for more than 18 hours a day and covers most of
the northern West Bank cities and villages. Its three
studios enable it to conduct training courses in montage and
transmission; the automation and computerization of programs
are other reasons for its success.
An-Najah Radio
Station produces thirty three programs in the fields of
culture, society, scientific, religious and educational
affairs.
We are now plan to
establish a local Educational TV station related to the
University for the same purposes of the Radio station
existed.
