Introduction

The presence of Corona virus has led to the emergence of many obstacles that had a negative impact on most countries of the world, especially in terms of the economic situation at the regional and the global level. This has put many countries in front of a state of imbalance in the economic and social structures that highlighted the low efficiency of these structures from many aspects. The Palestinian economy in particular is facing double pressures resulting from the practices of the Israeli occupation on the one hand, and the challenges of the existence of the Coronavirus on the other hand.

The general objective of this conference is to study the challenges that the Palestinian economy faces in light of the pressures and the negative effects from both political and Corona virus crises which stand in front of achievingthe desired economic results and increase the difficulty of developing this emerging economy. Based on this goal, the Organizing Committee for the third conference of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences is honored to invite all researchers, students and those interested to contribute to the enrichment of the conference themes. Thecommittee welcomes your participation and attendance and is pleased to overcome all difficulties that might face those wishing to participate in this conference locally and internationally.

This conference aims to discuss the challenges and obstacles facing the development process of the Palestinian economy by studying and analyzing the components of this economy and the various aspects and obstacles that it faces in the current crises. Thus, the conference aims to introduce the economic challenges, the financial, administrative, technological, social, cultural and human forces that we need to continue the construction and development processes in Palestine. The conference encourages experience sharingfrom different countries in this field, in terms of understanding, analyzing and evaluating the procedures that helped some countries to confront the repercussions of the Corona crisis and mitigate its severity. The active participation of researchers in this conference is relied upon in arriving at proposing solutions, policies and procedures that are practically applicable to support the economic development plans in various sectors at the public and private levels in Palestine.

  14. Economic, regional and political blocs and their link to the Palestinian economy
  15. Challenges and solutions of marketing operations and their role in supporting Palestinian companies
  16. The growth of electronic commerce in light of the Corona pandemic
  17. Patterns of consumer and social behavior in light of the Corona pandemic
  18. Challenges in front of the development of the administrative structure and the work procedures in Palestinian institutions
  19. Governmental economic policies in front of the Israeli occupation and Corona virus

  1. Knowledge of economic trends under Palestinian Higher Education Policies
  2. The role and uses of social media in front of the business sector challenges
  3. The role of traditional and technological media in highlighting the Palestinian political and economic situation
  4. Social and psychological changes that keep pace with the challenges of the Palestinian economy

  6. Human resource development and the role of leadership in the Palestinian economy
  7. Challenges of social distancing in front of Corona pandemic
  8. Challenges of educational and psychological support under economic recession
  9. Challenges and obstacles of supporting community awareness under crises
  10. Youth culture and crisis response skills in light of social distancing
  11. Public Relations administration in light of the Corona pandemic
  • The deadline for receiving abstracts in Arabic and English is Sunday, February 7th, 2021.
  • Notification of acceptance will be within a week from the date of receiving the abstracts.
  • The deadline for receiving full papers is Thursday, April 1st, 2021.
  • The conference mailing address  is: ([email protected])
  • Submitted papers should be relevant to one of the main themes of the conference.
  • Submitted papers should be linguistically revised and should not exceed 25 pages. The paper size should be A4 and if the researcher decides to use a word file, the required font type is Times New Roman size 12, with only one-line spacing.
  • Papers will not be published in the conference proceedings unless all the amendments requested by the scientific committee are made.
  • Affiliation of the researcher / researchers with their contact information should be clearly provided in a separate file.
  • The abstract should not exceed (300) words, followed by key words.
  • Papers'main textshould start with the introduction and end with the list of references. Appendices are to be included after the list of references.
  • Author biography of 4-6 lines should be provided with the paper.
  •  Papers submitted to the conference are to be prepared according to the instructions at An-Najah Research Journal website (Humanities, Natural Sciences) with commitment to the APA documentationstyle.
