On Tuesday, May 10th, 2016, An-Najah National University participated in the 6th QS Middle East and Africa Professional Leaders in Education Conference (QS MAPLE 2016) at the United Arab Emirates University.


The conference was over three days from May 10th-12th, 2016 and aimed at encouraging universities in the region to communicate effectively with each other to develop standards that enhance the ranking of universities.

The conference shed light on the QS University Rankings: Arab Region 2016 and a QS Rankings Masterclass and other topics related to higher education.

An-Najah was represented by Dr. Ayham Jaaron, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit and Engineer Ahmad Fuad from the Institutional Research Unit.

Dr. Jaaron talked about community based learning (CBL) and its application at An-Najah. He mentioned that the university offers more than 35 CBL courses since 2012.

Notes:

QS-MAPLE aims at promoting the ranking of universities in the Middle East and North Africa and unifying vision to strengthen the ranking of universities in the region by developing new strategies in order to face current and future challenges.

The conference was attended by 300 representatives from different parts of the Middle East, North Africa and other parts of the world.

The conference also included the QS-MAPLE exhibition which was organized by 30 participating universities.
