"Assistance Now Means a Brighter Future"
In order for An-Najah National University to continue to provide higher education to almost 19,000 students, which has positively impacted the national economy in and caused the national market to prosper, it relies on the in-kind philanthropic donations of its friends and alumni. There are a number of ways to contribute and help to make an impact on present and future generations of Palestinians.
Unrestricted – Whether for immediate use or permanent endowment, unrestricted gifts offer relief to the operating budget and directly affect students, faculty, and the various programs and centers at An-Najah. With unrestricted funds, the University will have the flexibility to take advantage of special opportunities and to meet emergency needs.
Restricted – Whether for immediate use or permanent endowment, giving a restricted gift can be for a specific function of your choice, such as scholarships, faculty development, program support, campus regeneration, or any purpose keeping with the mission of An-Najah.
Permanent – These funds help to provide financial stability and to ensure the future success of our students, while providing a permanent source of income for An-Najah National University. A portion of the interest generated by these gifts is used to support An-Najah and the rest is reinvested in the endowment to preserve future growth and use. To start an endowment fund, a minimum $30,000 commitment is required. The donor may designate how the fund is used through a memorandum of understanding with the University.
Funds may bear the donor’s name or may be named to honor a family member, a colleague, or a specific firm or organization. Currently several naming opportunities exist at the An-Najah Teaching Hospital, currently under construction.
