On Tuesday, September 15th, 2015, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at An-Najah participated in the 2nd MENA Regulatory Conference on Bioequivalence, Bio-waivers, Bio-analyses, Dissolution and Bio-similars at the Landmark Hotel in Amman, Jordan.

The conference was over three days from September 15-17, 2015 and shed light on bioequivalence, bio-waivers, bio-analyses, dissolution and bio-similars. It included a number of sessions and workshops moderated by international experts from the US, Europe, Turkey and the Middle East.

The conference aimed at exchanging experiences among decision makers world wide in terms of drug manufacturing, academic institutions and health authorities. The conference also aimed at discussing possible means of mutual cooperation between An-Najah and international universities and research centers.

Professor Peter Langguth from Johannes Gutenberg University in Germany presented a research paper on Dr. Asma Radwan's doctoral thesis who is a staff member at the Faculty of Medicine and Heath Sciences at An-Najah.

Notes:

-         An-Najah delegation included Dr. Amjad Izz Eldein, Director of the Poison Control and Chemical /Biological Analysis Center and Dr. Raeda Moustafa from the Bioequivalence Unit at An-Najah.

-         The conference is organized by a number of international institutions, namely; AAPS, TUFTAD and IPRC.

-         MENA is an acronym referring to the Middle East and North Africa region. The term MENA covers an extensive region, extending from Morocco to Iran, including all Middle Eastern and Maghreb countries.
