On Wednesday, September 16, 2015, the Office of International Development and External Affairs and the Arabic for Non-Native Speakers Programme at An-Najah held an introduction and welcome session for the students who have joined the Arabic for Non-native Speaker’s Programme at An-Najah for the academic year of 2015-2016.

The International Office staff provided the students with useful information about life in Palestine (the culture and traditions, the transportation system, the food, the currency...)

They also talked to them about the services that the University provides such as the facilities they can use in addition to the health insurance and visa renewal.

The session was also attended by Ms. Halima Holland from the British Consulate in Jerusalem who provided the British students with information about the consular services they can receive during their stay in Palestine.

At the end of the session, the International Office staff and Ms. Holland answered the students’ questions and inquiries.

Notes:

-         33 students from different nationalities have joined the Arabic for Non-Native Speakers’ Programme at An-Najah this year, the majority of which are from London School of Orientalism and Arabic Studies (SOAS).
