On Wednesday, September 16, 2015 the Faculty of Economics and Social Studies at An-Najah concluded the 12th Documentary Film Festival for student films at the Zafer Al-Masri Auditorium in the Old Campus.

The festival consisted of 12 documentary films by An-Najah's Media students which covered a wide range of subjects. The subjects tackled in the films included women's role in the Palestinian community, Palestinian journalists in Israeli prisons, recycling, children with disabilities, social issues in Palestinian villages, Israeli settlements and university life.

Three of the twelve films received the festival awards, namely:  The "The Tale of Silence" by Walaa Salah; "The Mountain Girl" by Ragheed Tubsia, Yaser Abu Haija, Huthaifa Baker and Anas Saadat and "For You My Mother" by Ahmed Buth and Yaser Joudallah.

Notes:

-      The award ceremony was attended by Dr. Mohammad El-Amleh, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Sama Oweida from the Women Studies Center, Professor Tariq Al-Hajj, Dean of the Faculty of Economy and Social Studies, Dr. Saed Abu Hijleh and a number of An-Najah students and staff.
