On Sunday, August 16, 2015, a delegation from An-Najah concluded its visit to Arizona State University as part of the Green Buildings 2015 Project, a project funded by the US Consulate General of Jerusalem.

The delegation which consisted of the students with the winning designs in the project competition and their professors, visited the College of Sustainability and the Building Department where they attended a number of workshops on green buildings. They also visited a number of research centers such as the renewable energy center.

In one of the workshops, the students presented on their winning projects that impressed the attending sustainable experts. The professor discussed means of further cooperation in the field of sustainability and green buildings between An-Najah and Arizona University. Both sides agreed upon conducting mutual projects and research papers for the coming year.

-         The delegation consisted of Dr. Mutasim Baba, Director of Construction and Transportation Research Unit, Dr. Muhannad El-Hajj from the Department of Building Engineering, and Dr. Sameh Muna from the Architectural Engineering Department.

-         The Green Buildings Project is being executed in cooperation with the American Corner Nablus and the Construction and Transportation Research Unit at An-Najah.

-         The workshops were over seven days, from August 10-16, 2015.
