On Saturday, August 22nd, 2015, the Zajel Youth Exchange Programme run by the Public Relations Department at An-Najah concluded a thirty-hour training workshop on the ambassadors' global programme.

The workshops aimed at introducing Palestinian students to the importance of cultural populism, acceptance and tolerance.

The workshops shed light on pluralism, cultural diversity and religious differences. They also tackled the issue of cultural differences between religions in France, the image of Islam in France, as well as racial discrimination against Muslims and Arabs in the US.

Students were also trained on how to fill out scholarships applications, write motivation and cover letters, as well as learning how to e-book hotels and tickets.

Notes:

-         90 students from various faculties of An-Najah qualified to participate in international activities.

-         The workshops were given by trainers Naomi Jaisy and Christopher Cook from the United Kingdom; Antoine Mercier from France; Aya Say and Ahmed Jitan from the United States and Dr. Tamer Khatib, Dr. Amjad Izz and Mr. Alaa Abu Dhair from Palestine.

-         Students were taken on field trips to a number of sites in Palestine. The tour included the Old City in Nablus, Sebastia village and Sumerian village.
