On Tuesday, August 11th the International Office's American Corner Nablus hosted two Palestinian American comedians Mr. Amer Zahr and Mr. Mo Amer at the Zafer Masri Auditorium.

The event started with comedy performances by both Mr. Zahr and Mr. Amer that involved humorous stories about the cultural differences between Americans and Palestinians, the misconceptions of Palestinians in the US, and creative critiques of cultural idiosyncrasies of Palestinians. 

Following the performances, Mr. Zahr and Mr. Amer took questions from the audience on subjects pertaining to their personal experiences and opinion about comedy, being Arab American and other related topics.  To conclude the event, both comedians took pictures with the guests and Amer Zahr personally signed and gave out copies of his book 'Being Palestinian Makes Me Smile.'

The program included such esteemed guests as the Spokesperson and Press Attache for the US Consulate in Jerusalem Mr. Clayton Alderman, Information Specialist Mr. Naser Ideis, Cultural Affairs Specialists Ms Suzan Nammari, and An Najah's Media Director and head of Najah Broadcast Channel (NBC) Dr. Mahmoud Razk.

Also in attendance were the Nablus AMIDEAST ACCESS program students and alumni, An Najah staff and students, and other guests from the local Nablus community.
