On Monday 13 July, 2015 Acting President of An-Najah National University Professor Maher Natsheh received Mrs. Robin Solomon, Cultural Attaché to the US Consulate General in Jerusalem along with Ms. Angela Young, Public Diplomacy Officer and Ms. Dana Rassas, Cultural Affairs Assistant and.

Professor Natsheh welcomed the delegates to An-Najah and commended the cooperation it has with the US Consulate in the academic and cultural disciplines. He also briefed them on An-Najah’s recent achievements and advanced rankings on National and Regional levels.

Professor Natsheh went on to talk about the different subjects offered at An-Najah for BA, MA and PhD Programs that meet the requirements of the job market. He also talked about An-Najah’s Hospital as a service provider to the Palestinian community.

In turn, Mrs. Solomon thanked Professor Natsheh for receiving her at An-Najah and stressed the importance of continuing the cooperation between An-Najah and the Consulate in the different fields.

Finally, both parties discussed potential cooperation in the field of academic exchange between An-Najah and American universities.

After the meeting with Professor Natsheh, the delegates had several other meetings with An-Najah staff members to discuss ongoing and future projects with the Consulate, such as the American Studies Minor Program, the Go Girls Program, the Water and Waste Management Project and the Comedy Festival.
