An-Najah’s American Corner Holds “American Alumni Day”
On Wednesday, June 10th, 2015, An-Najah based American Corner Nablus organized a social event for graduates from American universities entitled "American Alumni Day".
Dr. Mohammad El-Amleh, Vice President for Academic Affairs commended the efforts of the event organizers and stressed the importance of the pursuit of higher education for the Palestinian students.
In turn, Dr. Adnan Melhem, President Assistant for Community Affairs stated that the importance of such events is to strengthen social ties amongst the academic staff and share experiences on studying in the United States.
In the same context, representatives from the US Consulate General in Jerusalem talked about the scholarships the US offers to Palestinian students.
At the end of the event, the attending professors from An-Najah spoke of their experiences studying in the United States.
- The meeting was organized by the Office of International Development and External Affair’s American Corner Nablus and the Office of Community Affairs and under the patronage of Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah.
- The meeting was attended by both faculty and students of An Najah who are alumni of US academic programs, representatives of the American Consulate General, AMIDEAST, and EducationUSA.
- The event took place at the Korean IT Institute in the New Campus.
