On Wednesday, May 13, 2015, An-Najah hosted the =Cultural Attaché from the Turkish Consulate General in Jerusalem, Mr. Sedat Yilmaz.

The visit aimed at exploring the possibilities of developing closer links between the University and the Turkish Consulate General in Jerusalem.

Prof. Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah briefed the delegation on the existing cooperation agreements that An-Najah has with international institutions including the ones in Turkey. He mentioned the need to support student mobility and welcomed Turkish students to join the Arabic for Non-Natives Program at An-Najah.

Mr. Sedat spoke about the work that they are responsible for at the Consulate and the various activities they offer to Palestinian universities, including the organization of cultural events. Mr. Sedat conveyed his interest in promoting the Turkish language at An-Najah National University.
