On Wednesday, May 06, 2015, An-Najah hosted Mr. James Downer, Deputy Consul General of the British-Consulate General - Jerusalem to discuss An-Najah's academic and archeological achievements.

The meeting aimed at making cultural and academic ties between Britain and Palestine along with ties between An-Najah and British universities

Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah, thanked Mr. Downer and commended the Consulate's role in making ties and facilitating academic exchanges between An-Najah and British universities.

Prof. Maher briefed Mr. Brown on An-Najah's history, academic development, and programs as well as the various specializations it offers and its scientific centers. He also talked about the financial shortages the Palestinian universities suffer due to.

Mr. Downer expressed his joy and readiness to build academic relations with An-Najah through the British Consulate and the British Council.

-      The meeting was also attended by Ms. Rania Maree, Public Relations and Communications Manager at the British Consulate, Mr. Khalid Mufleh, Acting President of the Public Relations Department, and Ms. Dalal Radwan from the International Office at An-Najah.

-      Mr. Downer was briefed on An-Najah's New Campus and the U.K funded projects at An-Najah.
